COMAH Report · What could go wrong, how likely, how bad, and why the risk is tolerable

Major accident scenarios and risk analysis

How major accident scenarios are identified and analysed, including harm to the environment and effects on neighbouring sites, and the basis on which risk is judged as low as reasonably practicable. A change of method or criterion can change every conclusion that rests on it.

“If this document changed, would the safety report need to be reviewed, revised and sent to the competent authority before the change could be made?”
